Why You Should Buy a Truck Bed Tent
Truck Bed Tent
Before I send you running to a merchant site buying your first truck bed tent, let me first ask you few question
Do you like outdoor camping but you dislike the hassle of setting up a tent and sleeping on the ground with no protection? If you own a pick up truck and you answered yes to my question, pickup truck tent is the right product for you.
While camping at my favorite camping site this last summer, I was introduced to a truck tent camper by a good friend of mine. We both own the same kind of trucks – Toyota Tacoma (TRD). To tell you the truth, I had to have it for the sample reason that sleeping in a tent is not my cup of tea nor comfortable when the ground is not leveled off.
Setup a Truck Bed Tent
I was also amazed on how easy really is to setup this pickup truck tent. Just to make a point however, you may want to setup your truck bed tent at least once before hitting out for a camping trip. That will make it easier for you once you’re out there, ok. I would say that there are about 5 solid steps to get a pickup bed tent setup and here they are:
- Take your tailgate down and set the tent on top of it
- Secure the tent with straps using your truck outside lips
- Setup your tent like you would normally do
- Secure the inside straps to the truck bed
- You’re done. There is no step five J
Now, as other truck bed accessories, you may need to consider a truck bed air mattress for extra comfort. I mean you see the benefit of having this kind of setup. Comfort to me is the number one reason to why I got it then safety. You’re above the ground safe from any flooding or animal sniffing around (I got attacked by a raccoon on my last camping trip, no joke; the raccoon even eat all my bag of chips). Another benefit, I just like the fact that all my items are secure inside my track while I go for a surfing session or a hike. Not to mention, truck bed tent is supper cozy when you have a girlfriend tagging along.
